We definately got enough rain to disappoint many who had booked a day off for the final few throws , August september fishing seemed to be mixed with some anglers catching their long awaited fish and some didn't!!. If you fit either category, please feel free to sum up your season. Hi Folks, dredging has started just below the main bridge. A lot of fishermen may be aware of it at this stage because of the severe discolouration of the water downstream. Looks like the only option is to head up river till seasons end. I will keep you posted on any changes and do feel free to see pictures i have posted on facebook. We are now taking bookings for the flytying sessions for the start of october. The sessions were geared primarily for club members, but if you have anyone who is interested, they are most welcome to join us. spread the word! You may contact fergal @ 086/8565263 or email bandonangling.association@gmail.com Notice to all members: The lower parts of the river will undergo some electro fishing in some of the shallow pools. Ecofact are the company that are carrying out the survey for approx 3 days. This is part of the flood relief programme and of course the scheduled dredging of the river. We will keep you updated on the progress. Hi to all you fishermen out there eagerly awaiting water levels to rise on the bandon. After a dismal july and august, last nights rainfall has finally brought a good flow back into the river again. I was at desert bridge this evening and i would estimate a rise of approx 1ft with a lot of slime and crap heading downwards. With more rain forecast for tomorrow, next week looks promising for all types of fishing. |
